Jay's Aunt Lisa came all the way from Los Angeles to tell us about her work with BrainPOP. She writes movies for educational purposes.
Lisa - Do any of you know what BrainPOP is?
Grace - It starts with lots of learning and every week there's a new one.
Lisa showed us an animated story about how chocolate is made.
Cassius - I saw a chocolate movie on the plane coming back from California.
Lisa - At BrainPOP we start with a question. My job is to research, then I write a script and that's what the voice over actor says. Then the artist draws pictures and the animator animates them. He edits the pictures together so they (the frames) play one after another. Then the producer publishes the movie.
Friends decided on clay to represent these ideas. Mac rolled out a slab and used paper as armature to create an oval shape for the Minion. He added huge eyes and eyeglasses.
Hadley drew and then painted her parent's engagement story. Here's a summary.
