Decorating our Giant Instrument and leaving preschool (sigh) all in one morning meeting conversation Melanie - We are thinking we should decorate the sides of our big instrument. Rattles drawn by Carl and Bruno are projected. We’re going to hang the instruments on the side, right? Jay - What if Rose’s instruments can go on the roof and we can get under and blow. And the tube can go through the roof. Rose - We can make a hole. Melanie - We can also project the fish guitar, too. What if we painted our instruments where they are going to get hung on the outside of the box? Ellee - We might need to use nails because magnets don’t stick to wood. Melanie - I bet we can use magnets in some way. Ellee - What if we wanted to do it at the library? We’d have to play quiet songs and for snack we can just use little bags and nail hooks into the wood to hang the bags. Bruno - What if we don’t make it in time? Alex - Then the Rainey Room will make it maybe. Teachers share the little books about the making of each instrument - on the new panel. Melanie - Bruno, to answer your question, we have time. We still have 6-7 more weeks. Alex - Seven weeks until we’re done with preschool. Yeesh! Rose - We have the whole May! Joci - Part of this is sad. We’ll miss our friends. Rose - But you can make messages! Prater - You can have play dates! Jay - Carl and I aren’t going to miss each other because we are going to be at the same school. Carl - My sister has a friend and she’s not in the same class and anyway she still has a playdate with her. Alex - I’m going to Lafayette. Hadley - I’m not going to miss Cassius because he’s going to the same school as me. A "PAINTING CHALLENGE" BY PRATER "One person makes a painting and the other person has to copy it." CASSIUS (left) CHALLENGED BRUNO (right) "IT'S A BASEBALL GAME. FIRST, SECOND, THIRD BASE. AND THE PITCH." THE MUMMIES SAY, "HAVE A GREAT (SCARY) WEEKEND!"
