Hanukah starts next Tuesday, the 12th so friends played the Dreidel game today, a Hanukah tradition. They learned the rules of play according to the four sides of the spinning top - the Hebrew letters, nun, gimbal, hay, and shin. Sorry, parents, but we did treat them to the real Hanukah gelt or chocolate coins. As a remedy for running out of coins and having to leave the game, children got to eat a coin when they lost.
Friends built two giant towers in construction that required the ladder to complete. They focused on stability and design and were rewarded with a fine structure that we kept up until Monday.
