Getting into the Holiday Spirit!

This short week was all about getting into the holiday spirit.
From visiting our neighbor Hugh's Christmas tree,
to learning more about Chanukah and dreidels with Max's mom Sarah,    
to wrapping Lucilla's gift, the classroom was truly abuzz with holiday excitement!

Carla invited all the Rainey Room friends to come over and check out the Snyder family Christmas tree! 

Sarah Shares Chanukah Books and Teaches the Children How to Play Dreidel 

Thank you Sarah for joining us and sharing your special family tradition, the children were so excited to learn about another special holiday! 

Opening and Wrapping Gifts - It's all about giving and receiving! 

Cate (and Michelle!!!) was so thoughtful and  brought in two presents for the Rainey Room class to share. We opened the presents this morning during our morning meeting and the children are all so excited to play these new games in our comfy cozy meadow! 

The children also helped to wrap the beautiful bowl they made for Lucila. Complete with a holiday cards, stamped by all the children, Lucila's gift serves as a reminder to us all that this season is as much about giving as it is about receiving!

Yesterday we were so lucky to be joined by Tommy's mother AND sister. Clare and Diana read two of the Mr. Man books to the children and they thought Mr. Tickle and Mr. Small were just hilarious!
