Introducing the Web-Cam at the Ribbit's Pond
"Can we tell a story? Once upon a time there was a frog in the house and look! It's on the screen!" - Elena
Yesterday, we introduced the children to a new piece of technology- the web cam! First, Lily Dagny and Elena took turns taking photos and videos of the various elements in the Ribbit's habitat, including the Ribbit family members themselves. Then they passed the camera over to the Hugh and James who focused on the building structures, the other animals, and the pond. Observing how the children worked with this new piece of technology, we were struck by how quickly they learned how to use the camera and how well they directed each other to capture the various shots.

Wednesday Backwards Day
"Jennie, I L O V E Y O U...that spells 'I love you!'"
While Melanie was home resting (we are dropping like flies! Feel better Melanie! We missed you!) we enjoyed our backwards day with Jennie, Palmer in the Brown Room's mom. The children organized themselves to play various animal related games outside, build structures, and play family. When we came back inside there was a surprise guest in our room, Will, Jen's son! They were making pasta in our room with the Brown Room children and so we got to catch a sneak peek towards the end and we watched how Will uses the pasta roller. After snack we played a storytelling game together in the Meadow and our very own Jessica was with us to finish out the day. Never a dull moment in the Tucker Room!
Thank you for joining us this morning Jennie!
