Welcome Cards for the New Brown Room Children
Thinking about the properties of collage:
Collaging the Welcome Cards...
With our professional development experience in mind, we noticed the amount of thought and intention that the children were relaying through their work constructing these collages. The children noticed the various properties of the materials and we spoke about which types of glue would work best for the various materials. It was interesting to observe the choices that children made while working, the amount of pausing and consideration that they had before gluing things down. A total sensory experience. the children noticed the various smells and textures of the materials and worked to layer various items resulting in works of art that are thoughtful, intentional, and just absolutely beautiful!
Not only do we love when grandfathers come to visit our school and classroom but it's even better when they do it as a Mystery Reader! Last Friday Maisie's grandfather joined us and read this fabulous book, "Whose Tail is on the Trail?" which was very appropriate considering that he was visiting from Sedona, Arizona!
Thank you for visiting Grandpa A.J. the children absolutely loved your visit!!!
