Building a Mini Eiffel Tower
Yesterday the children took a trip to paris to build the Eiffel Tower in our construction area. It is a large structure that is still very much under construction and we will continue working on it on Monday. In the meantime, we invited the children today to work on building mini versions of the tower in order to gain another perspective.
While some children worked on building mini versions with the bricks and cuisenaire rods, some children approached the task with colored pencils and drew images of the tower to offer another perspective.
Clay Explorations and Snack Plates
This morning we continued working with clay in our studio. One table was set again for "clay play" were the children were able to experiment with the various clay tools and the other table was set up to make intentional snack plates to use daily during snack time.
The children worked so carefully to create different impressions in their clay using both recycled and natural materials.
Clay - Play
Where experimentation and imagination meet! The children worked with various tools and techniques to make their own creations with the clay. They scraped, cut, rolled, dug, and smoothed the clay using the various tools and implements.
