Having Our Morning Meeting Around the Coffee Table
In connection with the calendar and job chart we relocated morning meeting. Morning meeting is now more serious with an elevated maturity and board meeting style seating as we kneel around the large wooden "coffee table." Seated here effectively orients us to participate with the elements of planning that we aim to focus on and communicate at the start of each school day. The children adapted quickly to it, and so, we will continue to hold our morning meetings here. As for our beloved green meadow, it will remain as a place for us to gather together for reading books, singing songs, playing games, and other sharing.
As marked on the calendar: "Vivienne comes today!" -Lily
It was absolutely pleasant to have Vivienne visit the Tucker Room today! The children were bubbling over with excitement and anticipation for her arrival. They were rushing to the Tucker Room door, peering through the less than transparent windows to see if they could catch a glimpse of her with an "is she here yet" kind of eagerness. They wanted to ask questions about kindergarten,
"What do you do in kindergarten?" -Maisie
"Definitely read!" -Vivienne
