Caleb Shares His Swimming Trophy
"This is for my one year of swimming… a year of swimming team…" -Caleb
"Do you want to know what it's made of?"
Allison: Caleb asked do you have a question about what it’s made of.
Will: Yeah that’s what I was going to ask.
[Me too. Me three! Me four... Me eleven!]
Caleb: It’s made out of marble. Um, this part I think is the marble part and this is metal.
Hugh: Yeah, I knew that was metal. But what is this? That’s marble, but this is kind of like tile, right?
Caleb: No, no, this is actually marble. Because marble is a kind of stone. Did you know that?
Cate: If you even try to drill on marble … then it won’t work.
Cate: But what were they made out of?
Will: Now all of us are lying down.
Cate: What was this part made out of? That’s what my question was.
Caleb: No that’s not marble. The stuff around it is. Yes this and this is marble. I think this one is made out of plaster. ... Definitely not plastic because it isn’t bendy.
Cate: Yeah and plastic’s kinda bendy...
Caleb: Plastic you can break really easily.
Melanie: Plastic breaks easily? Does all plastic break really easy?
Caleb: Yeah, but not every kind. Like what's on windows and jars, you can’t break very easily.
Will: Where is the marble part?
Caleb: It’s around the screw.
Caleb: Do you really think bathtubs are more expensive than gold?
Will: Well you can’t break humans easily because they have bones in them.
Cate: Kitty litter is not expensive.
Caleb: Diamonds can break through almost anything.
Melanie: Do you know where the marble comes from?
Caleb: Probably underground.
Melanie: Do you know where the metal comes from?
Hugh: Probably from a building site.
Lily: The mountains?
Caleb: It comes probably from building metal.
