Dagny: What happened to the bumblebee
Cate: It's blue. Look it's a little bit blue. It has antennas. He's keeping them down. I think he's sad. I think he needs company. Maybe he wants a friend. Maybe he wants something that is just like him. Maybe we could make something? I think it's really sad. I think it wants a friend. I don't know what could keep it company. No, I can't keep it company. I'm not going to go home. Or I could if I was really small or I could put another bee there.
Dagny: We should find it a bumblebee friend.
Cate: We could give this (flowers) to it and we could keep it company.
Cate: We're trying to help it. It's sad because it wants a friend.
Zarina: We can be its friend.
Cate: It wants a friend all night long.
Zarina: We shouldn't clean up the bee.
Cate: Or the pot.

Our 1st May Mystery Reader
We were pleased to have Hugh's dad join us once again as a mystery reader. When Nick was here before, he had brought in Smokey Bear's Camping Book but there was not enough time to read it. Today we were delighted to hear the story and learn about camping including how "only you can prevent forest fires." "When I was about Hugh's age, my mommy and daddy read this book to me, and it was my favorite. It's all about camping," Nick remarked. Previous to this , Nick read Supertruck. "I love super truck!" Zarina exclaimed. Thanks so much Nick for being a (two time) mystery Reader!
