Today a few children visited the magnet board out in the hallway to deepen our exploration of tubes, tunnels, and motion—but we discovered so much more! We built one-dimensional towers with magna tiles. We noticed negative space in different polygons. We wondered at magnetic objects. We tested to see if a ball in motion could spin a pinwheel. We explored letters and numbers. We used a pulley system to investigate cause and effect, and to think about things going up and down, high and low. We checked out yard sticks, noticing how they were the same and different. We used chalk to draw pictures and erasers to make them disappear. And best of all, we had fun.
