The studio was busy this morning with clay, easel painting and watercolor on offer. Will, Charlie and Jack continued "building up" with clay using the method of slipping and scoring. Will created bridges on his slab and Charlie decided to make his a sandwich.
Painting with liquid watercolor and rice paper was available on top of the light table. Friends were amazed at the vibrancy of the watercolor on a different surface. We also wet the rice paper and watched as the colors bled and blended together.
Jack: Blue and red make purple!
Leigh: I made purple!
In the classroom, friends packed their bags for another Florida vacation. Austin piloted the plane, as Grace, Louise, Jossie, Lou Lou and Charlie enjoyed the ride as passengers. While on board, they enjoyed making phone calls to friends, Mommies and Daddies from the air!
Louise: I'm calling Lou Lou's mommy. Hi Lou Lou's mommy. Can Lou Lou have a playdate today? Okay, thanks.
Of course there's always time for stories, too. We missed Margaret this week but we're looking forward to her return next Wednesday! Also, Amelia Gambetti will be visiting us from Reggio Emilia, Italy on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. There will be no journals those days. Have a wonderful long weekend!
