Today, we celebrated Lou Lou’s school birthday. Her family read a lovely book called Bunny’s Book Club, about a group of curious critters who sneak into a library only to be welcomed by a kind librarian. After Lou Lou marched confidently around her candle five times, we sang happy birthday and watched her open her gift. Later in the day, we enjoyed delicious frozen birthday treats. We also had Jossie’s mom treat us to a special family tradition today. The children made beautiful sweet-smelling pomander balls. It was fun to see how our pomander balls have evolved over the past three years. Even the spiky creations were quite stunning. Sam made a head with wild, spiky hair, and Charlie made a person with toothpick arms and legs.
Thanks to our families for making today especially joyful!
