We also enjoyed seeing photos of tiny baby Kian right after he came home. Lying next to his big brother Jack, Kian looked unbelievably small. Kian’s mom also shared photos from Kian’s first year and lots of his favorite things—including his old pacifier. We also loved seeing Kian before and after his first big boy haircut.
After Kian walked around the birthday candle four times and we sang happy birthday, his friends delivered a beautiful card that included many of Kian’s favorite things, including rainbows, the color red, lights, trains and tape! Kian’s friends had paid lots of attention to Kian’s likes and dislikes and created a very special card for their much beloved friend. Later in the day, we had delicious cupcakes, pretzels, and clementines for snack. Thanks so much to Kian's family for sharing your stories and for the delicious treats!
Happy School Birthday, Kian! We love you!
And now for the Chickadee update: Today we watched the mama taking food to her babies. She was wary of us, so we had to stand way back before she would go into the birdhouse. We also saw the hatchlings with our eyes (and not just the camera) for the first time, so we think they're getting bigger!
