Today we had two small separate meetings with the group today investigating the topic of sharing & caring. They offered their thoughts about what these ideas mean to them and it was impressive how long they stayed to talk about it and how they were excited to share stories. Some offered ideas like asking teachers when they need help, some suggested ways to manage a situation when a friend doesn't want to share with them--like making the choice to do something else. We all listened and took in the different viewpoints. With all of this in mind we continued on with the day and returned to the classroom to build structures, have snack and enjoy music with movement holding scarves. The conversation from earlier remained in their thoughts throughout the school day. In the studio and in the outdoor classroom, we saw and heard children asking others to share and offering helping hands to friends when they needed it. Let us know how these ideas are expressed at home today and in the days to come through children's actions or words.
