Today, celebrated Louise's half-birthday. Her family read a lovey book titled Red Knit Cap Girl and the Reading Tree which was a gift from her godmother. In the middle of the story we had a fire drill! We all filed out quickly and quietly, then back in to finish our celebrations. It was very exciting. During the celebration, Austin noticed the birthday rug--which we've used since Brown Room--seemed to be getting smaller. Sam thought maybe the children had gotten bigger. After some discussion, the children seemed to be split on this, but it was interesting to think back to Brown Room and all the birthdays and years that have passed since. Later in the morning, we enjoyed a delicious snack treat of mini-cupcakes. Thanks to Louise's family for a very special celebration day. Happy school birthday, Louise!
