With so many elaborate trips to Florida that have been happening in the Brown Room, the children were excited to see the projection of an airplane as they walked in the room this morning. There were many things to notice:
Austin: When you fly you go up, up up. And when you see an airport you land and you get an Uber.
Will: That one (plane) has a pointy nose.
Lou Lou: Everybody is going in the plane.
Austin: A couch on the head (noticing that the projection was partially on his head).
Margaret: There's a table and food (on the plane).
Jack's grandfather: A pilot!
After meeting, Jossie, Louise and Austin once again traveled to Florida, using the projection as a springboard they navigated all the way to Miami.
In the studio our clay pieces were dried and ready for glazing. We used sponges and paint brushes to spread the glaze. Some pieces needed some extra time adding glaze around the layers that we built up on our slabs.
The studio stayed busy all morning! Weaving, painting and collage were also offered.
