Collaging with Wire and Metal & Painting with Tempera

Applying and extending our knowledge about collage, we gave paper a break and brought on wire and metal to work with instead. The intention with this is to build upon our prior knowledge and experiences using of wire, implementing concepts of composition and arrangement (relevant to collage), and strengthening our fine motor abilities by creating a signature wire and metal collage to display beneath the school photos in the hallway.

Taking the tempera to the table: Plastic domes and small wooden blocks were available to paint. The act of painting the different and identified materials offered sustained engagement and delight.
