We started our morning with Sing Along in Blake Hall. We seem to be getting the hang of the "Penguin Song"!
Reflections on the all school pajama project designs
LouLou was able to compile an arrangement of the entire schools final designs for the pajama project which we shared with some of the children this week.
Here are their initial reactions to the work:
Strengthening Our Sewing Skills
This week we continued to work with the sewing machine. As we practice sewing on cardstock, we have become more comfortable and competent in manipulating the machine and using it effectively.
Next week, we will use the sewing machine to begin sewing our "scales" onto the fabric for the dragon costume!
Entertainment in the Outdoor Classroom
This is beer. Do you know that there's always a bucket of ice for beer? Like at houses.
Sometimes at my house. To make it (the beer) so cold. - Hugh
Really? What is beer? - Sam
Beer is a grown up drink. Daddy and mommy drink beer. - Hugh
My daddy drinks beer too. And Mimi when they're talking to their cousins. - Wilder
Guess what? One time we drank beer. Me and Grace when my cousins came. We ate the beer.
It was yummy! And yellow... - Lily
So that means there's lemons inside? - Wilder
It's a beer lemonade! - Hugh
The "beer" transformed into a few different items throughout the morning.
Closing thoughts from our friend, Daniel.
*While using the restroom*
What was that?!? (Daniel exclaims after loudly farting)
It sounded like a duck!!
My tummy feels better already!
