Paper + Light + Water

Paper is a material that we use all of the time.  Whether it is for drawing, painting, writing, photographs, books, etc., it is a regular part of our lives. How often do we stop to experiment with the properties of paper and it's (almost) endless possibilities?

Paper + Light

What happens when we add the element of light to paper? Does it change the paper? How does it change it? What can we discover? What does light help us understand about paper?

Georgia and Win were layering the velum, paper doilies, and cardboard tubes. Then, they used their mouths to blow the materials and experiment with "wind" and movement.

When the element of water was added, we saw some similar experiments, but also the added excitement (experimentation) of layering paper in the water.
