After some time pondering Toad's whereabouts and how he might be found or come back to the BR, it was mentioned and unanimously decided that Toad's prints could be clues to finding him.

This initiated the work into the language of print making. It was great to have so many of you at the print making event this morning! For those of you who were not in attendance, thoughts of you were here in the spirit of things!

Textured Prints

A variety of textured materials were set out and available to paint. The painted material was then placed on a sheet of paper, transferring both color and textured pattern onto the paper to create the print.

Mono Prints

A pane of glass, a roller, and some paper is what you need for a mono print. Paint the glass place the paper on top of the glass and roll to transfer the paint from glass to paper.

Cardboard Tube Roller Prints

Using paint bottles instead of paint brushes as the applicator for putting paint onto paper, the paint is squeezed onto the paper. Another sheet of paper is placed on top to sandwich the paint in-between. The large cardboard tube facilitates the displacement and movement of the paint to reveal a beautiful and unexpected image, just as with the other print making techniques and approaches.
