Welcome to CW Lucy!

Our friend Lucy, from the Rainey Room, joined the CW crew on Tuesday and will be attending CW three days a week. We are delighted to have her with us!
Lucy enjoyed eating lunch with her Rainey Room friends and meeting her new Tucker Room friends. She also met our sweet Brown Room Friend, Leo on Thursday.
Lucy was very intrigued by what Elizabeth and Maeve were working on. They were cross stitching, and Elizabeth kindly offer to "teach" Lucy how to cross stitch. Lucy happily replied that she would love to learn how to cross stitch.

How a new child experienced CW?

Experiencing CW through the eyes of a new child is always interesting. Lucy has experienced her first couples of day in CW and is exhibiting lots of joy. She learned to cross stitched, discovered the dramatic play area, was table setter and best of all, she made new friends!

The dramatic play area is always a very active place where children thrive in their roles. Max was Elsa, Lucy was a queen, and Leo enjoyed being part of the drama club!

We have a new CW queen !!

Max and Susan took their babies for a stroll up and down the hallway! Because the babies needed to be walked around!

Sewing Together

Betsy found a cool stick on the playground and asked us if she could make a flag with it.

After attaching her flags to the pole, Betsy thought that her flag could also be an axe, so she diligently attach the "axe" using her cross sticking skills.

Small Group work

Small group work is a kind place to be if you want to quietly work on developing your fine motor skills through various projections such as beading, peeling crayons, and drawing.

Construction Area

Sander saw a monster in the children's bathroom!!! So he decided to build a monster catcher and Maeve kindly offered to help him. Theo also decided to build a monster catcher contraption! He was so excited to keep it up and show his Tucker Friends on Friday morning. Tate said that all his friends were very impressed by Theo's building and asked him lots of questions!

Betsy drew a house with a slide.

Lily drew Betsy's pink flamingo and a bird and copied the words.

While eating lunch, Sander was very intrigued by the "Cold Wind" cape/costume the Tucker Children created!! So we had to explain!

This week, Lily was so so proud because she finally completed her cross stitch project she had started a couple of weeks ago! Lily inspired other friends to keep working on their cross stitch too.

Luminaries for Table Setting

We have several projects going on in CW, cross stitching, making luminaries, finishing our wire and beads snow flakes, so the children make choices according to how they feel about their projects. Sometimes, they want to start with cross stitching, or luminaries, or finishing their wire and beads snowflakes. And sometimes, they want to draw together!

The CW children love to take markers from the atelier and draw together! They have very interesting conversation about the different kinds of markers they are using.
