Theo, Sander, and Susan were so excited to make the pancake batter from scarch

They added the main ingredient: Pumpkin purée

Brigitte cooked the pancake on her crêpe griddle

The pancakes were so good! The children approved and wanted to eat a whole one!

Can we make more Pumpkin Pancakes? -  Lily

On Thursday we made more pumpkin pancakes, because they are so good. We even added two very ripe persimmons to the batter, and they tasted even better than our Tuesday pancakes!

In connection with the Tucker Room, our upcoming ECES day, and a holiday card, CW is beginning an exploration of stop motion animation. We are first approaching the concept and understanding  of a frame and that each step of motion needs a picture or stopping the motion, one frame at a time.  We also have to set the scene. Next week, we'll have our scene set up in the atelier.

Lily - "Can we pick another persimmon? they are so good!"

The persimmon tree in the outdoor classroom is full of ripe fruits. We were able to pick one on Tuesday, the children were so excited to finally being able to taste a persimmon, since we  have been watching them grow and patiently wait they turn bright orange to pick them. Most of us tried it, and it was delicious! We picked some more on Wednesday.

Betsy - They look like apples, or pumpkins, but I don't want to try it
Max - Is it orange yet?
Susan - It looks like an apple
Elizabeth - They're so good, I could eat a whole one by myself
Lily - I want more, I love it, it's so good!
Tommy - They taste yummy
Gus - They taste like pineapple
Henry - I love to eat them because they taste sweet
Maeve - They taste like candy
Lily - I want to eat some more tomorow
