So Long Rainey Room, We'll See You Again Real Soon! After an amazing year, it is time to say "see ya later" to Rainey Room. KW was lucky enough to have so many Rainey Room friends join us this year and while we are sad to see you leave, we are happy to got to enjoy the time we had this year. The Final Guardian! They say "good things come to those who wait." That is certainly true for our final guardians, the clay guardian. It took a lot of work in KW but the clay guardian is finally ready for its debut. At first, the children were speechless when they initially saw their idea come to life. Lucas: "Wow" Bea: "It will definitely scare people!" Lily:" Did we really make this?" Remy: "It's so scary!" Rainey's Final Experiences We finished our penultimate day of Rainey Room KW with personalized collages. Some of us choose to think about what we like while others chose a sillier image to work off of. The children thought about layering, materials and storytelling as they worked on their collages. Bea: "Oh humming bird (looking at Cate's world) Cate: "Yup" Bea: "I have one too" Cate: "I cut out hands for mine. Oh! I need an owl bonnet" WatercolorsFinlay - It looks like today I’m using some ancient colors (the metallic watercolors). I just found the perfect color! Pink and golden makes red! I’m a genius! Capers - I’m trying to make a paw patrol painting. Bea - (Starting her painting with green). This is a green waterfall. The Biggest KW Ever! That was, without a doubt, one of the biggest KW days that St. Johns has ever seen. And what an amazing day it was. Rainey Room and Tucker finally got to spend an afternoon together before families showed up for the end of the year slide show. A special thank you to all the parents and care givers who took time out of their busy schedules to be here today! We appreciate you! In case you missed it or want to see it again, the slide show will be posted later this week. On our giant day, the children enjoyed the light table, reading, games outside, Jenga and building with legos! THANK YOU TO ALL THE CARE GIVERS AND PARENTS THAT CAME TODAY! YOU ROCK!
