"It feels like summer!"         Cate

Welcome Cate!
It was Cate's first official day In Kids' Workshop!  Over lunch, she made the above observation, which lead to a discussion of our favorite seasons.  Many of the children like spring, because it's not to hot and not to cold.  Also, as Caleb pointed out, "Summer smells bad!"  Since today's weather was almost summer-like, our group walked to Volta Park after lunch.  Children enjoyed climbing, gathering natural materials, swinging, drawing, spinning, and playing hide and seek.  As an added bonus, Austin showed up at the park!  We all had a great time together!

February is here!

Here's a look at what lies ahead for Kids' Workshop.  We will continue our work with Rodarte-related experiences and book making.  Our next planned "workshop" is painting.  We have already recognized the children love watercolors. We will move ahead with various types of paints, various surfaces, and various tools.   Tomorrow we start with mixing new paint colors to be used throughout the week!
