Our Week in KW

It was great to have visiting educators come through yesterday.  They enjoyed seeing and learning about all the guardian work that KW has been doing.  This week, we plan to get the clay guardian in the kiln, and then we will add glazes and put the whole thing together.  This week, we will also start to compose a letter to the owner of the transformer statues.  We will let him know how much we liked visiting them and how they inspired our project.
In addition, we will be working on different forms of collage.  When we asked children about materials and experiences that they wanted for the last few weeks of school, 3-D collages were near the top of the list.  We will also work on name tags for the KW portfolio bag that each child will receive as they leave this year.  We can't wait to get started!
