Signs of Spring

We have summer-like weather outside and signs of spring inside.  At the light table, children enjoyed playing with colored eggs, gems, and the new little chicks.  
   Louisa - These chicks are so cute.
   Seon - I like the chickies and the eggs and the gems.
   Mimi - I'm going to make a house and a chicky cake. 
  

Authors and Illustrators

Enthusiasm for writing and illustrating books is still going strong.  Today Lily and Louisa dictated their first stories while Luke and Cate started working on their second books.  While creating the books is time-consuming, children are enjoying the process.
   Hugh - It was so fun.
 Cate - It's even better than small world because it's something new.
    Wilder - The drawing was fun.
    Hugh - We got to work with our friends and talk while we were working.

Puzzles, messages, small world, and having fun outside filled in the rest of our time together.
