We had a relaxed day in KW at the end of a busy Halloween week. The children played for a while outside, working on a building that was started during Tucker Room's outdoor time. They made "building rock" also called "rock cement" which "is stronger than cement" to use in their construction. The children debated about what type of building it would be. One idea being that each level of the building would serve a different purpose such as a hotel on one floor and another place on a different floor.
After all of our construction work, we listened to some Halloween stories, Hugh and Sam set the table, and Molly joined us for lunch. We decided we need to make a place-card for Molly on the days she visits us at lunch. We also made a plan to finish Tommy's place-card and prepare for new KW friends who may be joining us soon. Lily started working on one surprise! The children all chose to watercolor and then worked on continuing some projects including the street/cities book and hand-sewing. Sam and Lily also watched the KW Classroom Stories video before getting ready to head home. Have a great weekend!
