Recent GamesWe've had some rainy days recently, but nothing has dampened our enthusiasm for group games. One game that both groups have played recently is Rhythm Detective. One person, the detective, leaves the area and the group determines who will be the leader. The leader starts the group on a sequence of rhythm patterns (tapping their knees, clapping their hands, etc.). When the detective comes back, he or she tries to determine who is leading the group. Nora - It's kind of like follow the leader. Lily - Rhythm detective is easy peasy. As Tucker Room played the game today, they found they could often tell who the leader was because that person was often smiling! We tried some trickier variations after that, but it is hard to fool these children! Yesterday, the Rainey crew had a wonderful time with 'Hide and Seek." They are coming up with more creative hiding places all the time!
