This Week's Game

We have begun introducing our group games to Brigitte.  This week, we started with an old favorite, "Clean Your Room."
Children work to get the "mess" (balls and bean bags) out of their room and over to the other side.  

Children have become very good at describing the games.  According to them, this is how it works:
    Wilder - You throw a ball...throw everything.
     Finlay - Into the other side.
     Cape - Into the other person's "room."
     Elle - You throw the balls and the bean bags so you could get the cleanest room.  
      Reed - Maybe it should be the cleanest house.  Like your neighbor.  But then, would you be fighting with your neighbor?
     Audrey - It's not real fighting.  It' a game.  
     C.C. - You go fast!
   Jack -  As fast as the air when you're throwing something.            

In the photo above, the Rainey children illustrate that accurate counting is important to the game.  In the photo to the left, George demonstrates good throwing form.  

Today we also played "Museum Guard" and "People to People."
