It's hard to believe that it's October with this warm weather. Kids' Workshop had a great time outside swinging, spinning, inventing a new game of catch, and going down the slide as a train. At the end of the day, there was another chance to use large muscles as the children formed their own yoga class. Louise and Lou Lou were interested in being the teacher, so they took turns. It was some of the fastest yoga Jessica and Jill had ever seen!
Also inside, children engaged in a variety of small muscle activities. Inspired by the most engaging parts of The Curious Garden book, children drew elements of the garden or the city. The children seemed especially interested in animals, tall buildings, and the bushes that are shaped like animals. Another table worked on messages and collages. As we have noticed all year, children were very attentive to their gluing process. They layered materials carefully to produce stunning results.
