Rainey Recipes: Birthday Edition
Welcome back to Rainey Recipes, with Rainey Room B bringing you the tastiest in baking treats. Today we have a recipe double header! Giacomo and Jane had birthdays this week. Giacomo turned 4 today and we got to celebrate with family and a truly amazing video. Thank you so much.As part of their celebration, we made delicious, shareable treats. Below are the recipe guides our children created.

Giacomo's Ice Cream Sandwiches
Step 1: Melted butter - Maxon
Step 2: Make the chocolate buttery and slippery - Giacomo
Step 3: Add cocoa. Tastes bitter. A little like hot chocolate - Janie
Step 4: Add vanilla. MMMMMMMMMMM - Jane
Step 5: Whisk! I can do it. - Lucia
Step 6: Flour. It's not sugar.
Step 7: Keep mixing it until it is nice and smooth - Jordan
Step 8: Bake at 350 for 20 min. Let sit. Bonus, if you put them in the freezer after squishing them, they become more like sandwiches
Step 9: The most important part. Add ice cream. I want all the flavors - Giacomo
Jane's Sugar Cookies
Step 1: Pour flour. Filled to the top of the measuring cup. - Maxon
Step 2: Add Baking soda. It looks like soda from a can. Can I add sprinkles now? - Janie
Step 3: Add the egg. Crack a little bump on something harder than the egg. Then it cracks all around. Then the egg floats down - Giacomo
Step 4: The butters getting inside (the sugar) - Giacomo
Step 5: Mashing it together - Lucia
Step 6: Whisk it together! - EVERYONE!
Step 7: It looks like ice cream. It can be any shape you want. - Janie
Step 8: We can make coils and shapes - Maxon
Step 9: SPRINKLE TIME. BEST TIME OF CAKE TIME - Janie
Step 10: Bake 8 - 10 minutes until brown. That's for adults. - Jordan
