Explorers 6/23/22

We can't believe the week is almost over! Today we worked further on our community paint and added detail with sharpies, makers, and watercolor.  The children continued to use their drafts from Wednesday as a reference point. Explorers have worked well together to create our community masterpiece.

In the morning, we had a lot of friends interested in the legos. 

Alice:"This bad guy is going on the dock."
Art: "What bad guy?"
Alice: "This one!"
Art: "That is a great bad guy, be careful."

Even though it was a bit chilly outside the Explorers still embraced water day!

Coco: "I am ready to get wet!"

Once we came inside and got into our clean clothes, we embraced our materials! Abby and Dagny were eager to build a home for the persimmons they found found outside.

After lunch, some of the children enjoyed a calm day making pinch pots with clay with their friends.

"I'm making this for my mom and her earrings. I wrote earring on the front." - Caroline

Today was a huge success! There was a lot of creative thinking and collaboration happening in the Tucker room. We discovered that Explorers love to listen to audiobooks during their experiences. We are looking forward to a really fun Friday!
