We have had such an incredible summer with our sweet Links! We finished our week with painting, clay, and drawing. We had an amazing time learning, singing, and laughing with the Links this summer! We hope to see you next summer. Please keep in touch! - Emma and Eliana We can't believe the end of the summer is almost here! We've had SO much fun getting to know these sweet kids. Each child has explored, learned, and grown SO much! This week, we worked on tie-dye shirts, bead making, and more. We had a fun-packed last week of camp, full of projects, games, and activities! "Luca's looks like a jar of water. Teddy's is like a rainbow! And mine is all flat." - Camilla "I want to show this to Mommy." - Luca "It's kinda reddish yellow." - Tommy Water day! We made keychains and necklaces with Sculpey beads that we made by hand! Water day was a blast! More outdoor fun! Last day of Camp! - A dance party, Explorers friends, towers, and scarves! Thank you all for such a fabulous time at camp!
The outdoor classroom is alway a good time! Both the climber and the trees are the hot spots for making up fun games, playing families and where imaginative play blossom. The outdoor classroom was used as the space to erupt our volcano! Water day is also a time that fills the space with laughter.
Nothing like a picnic snack! A genius solution that we came up with as a group when we realized that we wanted to save the art projects on at the tables. Adding layers of paint to our rocks. Outdoor classroom fun! In Construction today, some friends built a house. "The house won't fall down because it's very sturdy!" -Tommy Bubbles and Burrito Club at Water Day! & lots of outdoor fun Studio time included painting at the easel, misting watercolours, mod podge jars with tissue paper, and sculpey beads :) See you on Monday for our last week together!
We have been growing so much as a group in the Brown Room. We enjoyed our second water day, planted seeds in flowerpots, and continued our favorite tradition of baking (vanilla cupcakes)! Our friends have had so much fun playing pretend and feeding babies, painting watercolors, and laughing a LOT. Check out everything below! The explorers have kicked off session 3 with lots of playful and creative energy! They've printed and painted on t-shirts... Sewed bags and clothes... Had lots of fun at water day... And had fun doing watercolor, mosaic, making portfolio tags, beading, felting, and weaving!
We have had so much fun thus far in our first week of Session 3! We jumped right in with clay, tracing on the light table, water colours with negative space, and rock painting. We've also had a great time on water day, have loved reading, spending time in our outdoor classroom and more. We can't wait to see what else is in store for us! Above is a slideshow of some of what we've gotten up to this week. A big highlight has been building a blue angel (airplane) in construction nearly every day, making it more and more elaborate, including multiple pilot seats and ejection buttons! We also had quite the impressive bakery running in the sandbox for a while :) We are so excited to start our last session of the summer! We worked hard continuing our work with clay from the second session. We introduced a spray bottle as a tool when shaping clay. We have had a lot of fun creating modge-podge flower pots. We also did some yoga! What a fun start to the week. |
