It was so fabulous to see our Wednesday/Thursday/Friday folks again after spring break!  We got right back into the swing of things, especially with the beloved trains...

Our sewing exploration is continuing this week since not everyone finished their work before spring break.  Oliver was under the weather last time we did sewing, so it was his first chance to try this medium.  As he added clear beads, he said, "That one has a mommy.  That one has a sister."

The Brown Room children should be SO proud of all their patience and hard work in their sewing work recently.  Over time, many of them have gotten the hang of pulling the thread tightly, poking the needle through the hole in the bead, and turning the embroidery hoop over to find their needle on the other side of the fabric.

As a follow-up to our work on the Harold and the Purple Crayon work from yesterday, Wolf was interested in reading the book with a teacher.  He noticed the policeman in the book has a "pointy nail."  After that, we were interested in drawing our own policeman.

Our class is still developing its kitchen/cooking investigation in new and exciting ways.  For instance- what is Ellie smelling here?  And what kinds of plant is that?

Find out at SPRING CLASSROOM STORIES NIGHT, on April 10th at 6:30pm!

Brooke and Melanie are looking forward to giving a presentation and leading a discussion.  Plus, we need volunteers to bring food!  Be on the lookout for forthcoming communication from the Room parents.

See you then!
