"We were building a boat house. It had a roof. The sand was for keeping the building warm." Many thanks to Aida's family for bringing in a book about machines! The children made observations as they studied the pages: Fletcher - (Looking at a page with a plane) A propellor. Because it powers up planes. Aida - And a hot air balloon. Oliver - It has a gas hood. It has fire and the gasser heats it up and the fire makes it rise up. Olivia - A bird is not a machine. It's not big. Andy - Because inside the bird is a human body. Oliver - A vacuum doesn't have a body. See? 'Cause it's a machine. There's so much great food for thought in this short conversation! Both Pods have enjoyed looking at and reflecting on the memory boxes that are now on display in the greeting hallway. We hope you enjoy the beautiful weather this weekend!
