Pod A ... brought to you by Nora!

Once again, today's blog will be feature the children as authors..  Today Nora dictated her impressions from Pod A.

Nora - I made a message for Maren.  This is my favorite color.... red!
"Palmer made a dinosaur out of clay.  I thinked it was amazing because it was so big.  My clay animal is going to be a horse or a pony or a unicorn. "

Nora - I was at the dollhouse.  I played with Gigi. I like the bunk beds, I also like the normal bed.  I liked when the baby was on the roof and was sliding down in the hole on the roof.
"I noticed that they were building two rocks slides."
"The birthday committee started a gift for Oliver.  It's going to be his birthday.  The gift is always a plant."

"We were building a boat house.  It had a roof.  The sand was for keeping the building warm."

Pod B....brought to you by Andy!

Andy began by showing his collage from today.  He went on to describe the collage that he began on Wednesday and  continued working on yesterday.
Andy - It was a bouncy machine.  People can go inside the machine and just puff out of the machine!

"In the travel area, me and Oliver made a mini-van.  It went to the Duck Pond.  There were pretend babies and me and Oliver (as passengers)."

"I made a lego store.  A fruit store.  It was just pretend, it was a too small space to have real fruit or pretend fruit.  Olivia made an ice cream store."

"Fletcher, Aida, and Melanie did a puzzle."
It was another beautiful day to be outside.  Andy spoke of his favorite part of the outdoor classroom, "I love the tree swing. I wish I had a tree swing, but I just have a regular swing at my grandparents' house."
Many thanks to Aida's family for bringing in a book about machines!  The children made observations as they studied the pages:
Fletcher - (Looking at a page with a plane)  A propellor.  Because it powers up planes.
Aida - And a hot air balloon.
Oliver - It has a gas hood.  It has fire and the gasser heats it up and the fire makes it rise up.
Olivia - A bird is not a machine.  It's not big.
Andy - Because inside the bird is a human body.
    Oliver - A vacuum doesn't have a body.  See?  'Cause it's a machine.
There's so much great food for thought in this short conversation!

Both Pods have enjoyed looking at and reflecting on the memory boxes that are now on display in the greeting hallway.

We hope you enjoy the beautiful weather this weekend!
