Happy Birthday Grace!

We celebrated Grace's 3rd birthday today!  Grace's mommy and daddy came to share some pictures from her life thus far, including the very day she was born. There was a BIG snowstorm in New York so there were no cars to get to the hospital, so they asked the police officer for a ride. Sarah showed a picture of the police officer that drove her and Jim to the hospital.  

Sarah showed us this picture of when Grace's little sister, Lily, was born.

We saw a video of Grace's very first steps in her home (which, as Jim noted, was tougher because the floors are a little slanted!)

And finally, Jim read Grace's favorite book: Frog and Toad!  Everybody was smiling and laughing at the funny story where Frog and Toad went sledding.

After Grace's family shared with us, Grace and Evelyn took a walk around the candle, and our class gave Grace her birthday present!

Grace had requested "branches" to be in her present.  If you look carefully below you'll see the sticks added by her birthday committee ( consisting of Alexandra, Emilia, Olivia, and Lane).

Grace's family brought this yummy treat to share with us - chocolate croissants.  Thanks Sarah and Jim for coming in!  Happy birthday, Grace!!
