Sewing & Wire

​After sewing, Lane and Grace paint.  Lane paints a shape which she calls her name.  Grace asks more about this.

Snack Conversations and Laughter

Snack has always been a great time for children and teachers get to know each other, learn another's names, share personal stories and find commonalities.   In the first video, Melanie jokes with children that her name has changed and everyone takes part in correctly identifying the true Evelyn!  Then, in the second video, children realize that many of them have worn blue today.  Olivia inquires, "Is that Emilia?"; Grace gets up to indicate Emilia's blue dress, saying "She has blue"; Olivia smiles at her friend Evelyn next to her; Emilia shares something about her family.

Also heard at snack today:

Lane: That's a circle table and this is a diamond table.
Evelyn: I love Olivia my friend next to me.
Grace: Where is Gigi?
Emilia: Maybe she's late to this school.  Maybe her tummy is upset.  I have another idea... Maybe she's coloring her her bed when she's sick!

Musical Instruments Outside

​ Emilia: Want to come to my shop?

Lane: (indicates bell) I want one of those.  Let me go get purple.

Emilia:  I'll just play it for you, just in case.  Here you go.  (to Maren) What would you like to have from my shop?

Touring the School

Yesterday and today, small groups of children toured the middle room and the magnetic chalkboard.
