Our second Birthday Committee this year... LANE!

Alexandra, Fletcher, Oliver, and Olivia worked together to make a letter "L" for Lane's present.  We knew she wanted pink, purple, and blue, and a unicorn on her present.  Oliver helped us by writing out the initial "L' shape with a metallic marker.  Everyone cut a lot of papers into smaller pieces that could be arranged on top of the marker lines.  We ended up using ribbons with tons of glue on top.  It was a challenge to arrange the materials into a legible letter, but it turned out great and we hope she likes it!

Fairy house progress!

• Palmer said, "We need a ladder so they can get up."  Fletcher assembled a ladder using corrugated cardboard.  Then Palmer used a screwdriver to poke "windows" into the walls.  Fletcher created a "door" on the roof by drawing a rectangle then cutting it out.
• Wolf B and Palmer made tables by stacking up square tiles on pieces of cardboard.  They observed closely to see if they were level.
• Grace used glue, fabric, fluffy material, thread and a needle to make a soft bed for the fairies.  Ellie made a door out of popsicle sticks, and Alexandra made a "flying bed"!
• We continued papier mache work on both houses.  There's talk of an entire fairy village.  Alexandra thought about a sign we could write on the side of the house that says, "Don't come in.  It's not appropriate for you.  Only fairies."
