Spooooooky Atelier!

In the atelier, Tucker Room teachers Lisa and Rachael created a very spooky environment with plenty of creepy shadow puppets, finger puppets, blacklights, glow-in-the-dark paints, dark sparkly sand, and haunted watercolors.

Lane: This is SO spooky.
Grace: It's so spooky because it's Halloween.
Fletcher: It looks so spooky in here.

Work Continues on the Fairy Village...
Wolf B: "Maybe there can be a sidewalk for the fairies to walk on.  They can't walk on the road or they will get squished by a car."

Grace and Alexandra put fairy boats out on the ocean (boats were provided by Wolf B)

"So they can sail" said Grace.

This sign made by Lane and Emilia tells fairies it's okay to dive into the water here.

This building Oliver is working on was an ice cream parlor, then he adapted it to become part of the fairy village.

Oliver: "You wanna see the camel's house? They're very tired in the night. When they wake up, they are going for an adventure."

Alexandra: "I put the bench right there on the log so they can watch the sunrise."

Alexandra made this "bridge". Grace was delighted when she realized the fairies could also use it as a "canon board", or a diving board where they can do a canon ball jump.

Maren and Evelyn volunteer to rebuild this "bridge" made by Alexandra after it fell down. They used a process of trial and error to support the large board with blocks of the same height.

Emilia joins the team to assist in taping leaves to the bridge.

Fletcher continued driving the fairy car today. He said, "They're home now!"

Alexandra: "These can be their little alone places, when they want to be alone."

Emilia created these tiny "earbuds" so the fairies can listen to music.

​We are continuing to measure our shoe size and are making prints of our feet to compare feet sizes.  This connects to our work about height, weight, and doctor play.  We will write an update soon - we're planning to bring our footprints to meeting and discuss.
