As children begin the process of getting to know each other, we are starting to see connections being made.  Here, Olivia and Evelyn sing the ABC's as they wash their hands.
Many children found the photo albums after snack and gathered as a group to look closely at their own as well as others'.  Lane showed us a picture of the "bat-mobile" in her album, as well as her family members.  Olivia asked, "What's her name?" as she looked at a picture of Grace and her baby sister.

Studio exploration...

Over the last two days, many children have participated in testing out techniques such as collage, tempera paint, and watercolor.  See captions for some of their reactions to these materials.

It was Maren's real birthday today, so we sang her happy birthday at meeting.  Her school birthday is still coming up, so stay tuned!  That's when we will present her with a gift made by her classmates.  For now, we met her pet unicorn "Corny" and learned that at her party over the weekend, Nana brought a very tasty cake.

More classroom exploration...
We read" Where the Wild Things Are" before spending some time outside and heading home.
