A Birthday in Rainey A

​Happy Birthday to Marley! Over the weekend, Marley turned 4 and just as she requested, she had a chance to share her “star birthday” with her “school friends”. We invited her parents to join us on Zoom where they shared one of Marley’s favorite books, Bitsy the Ballerina. Marley passed out delicious donuts for a treat and was thrilled to receive her birthday gift. “Look a penguin!” she exclaimed when she saw the framed sewing. A big happy birthday to you, Marley!

Who’s our  Mystery Reader?!

Today, we began our Mystery Reader series. All day we debated about how the mystery reader could be!
Jack: I don’t even have an idea!
George: I think it might be a racecar driver
Elle: I don’t know, maybe mommy?
Lochie: (laughing) mmmm the moon! Yeah I think it’s the moon because it’s a mystery
George: Yeah a mystery moon!
Marley: It could be Rainey Room B?
Violet: Oooh, yeah like singalong

While the guesses were good, everyone was surprised when the mystery reader turned out to be Jack’s mom! Lisa shared three books with us, recounting stories of funny pets and friends with nicknames. At the end of the call Jack shared a big virtual hug with his mom as thanks!

We also took time today to decorate our valentines day bags. George even noticed that some of our decorations “look like the French fry" silhouettes.  Marley took extra time to help make a bag for CC so we can collect her Valentine’s for her on Friday. Looking forward to all the rest of the week has to offer!
