Exploring with the Digital MicroscopeThis morning we laid out all the flowers and plants we’d collected on the lighttable. With the help of some magnifying glasses and a powerful digital microscope we were able to observe and record the properties of the plants.
Jack: Please take picture. It’s the inside of the flower. Now is a good time to click. Lochie: Wait when I say it’s done, it’s done. Jack: Can you take a click? This is me I just took. Lochie: This is so much photos! Jack: Do you like those glowing things? Those are grapes and these flowers help the grapes grow. But you can’t eat them right now because they are not ready. Jack: These are beads that make flowers. Can you see this up close? Lochie: That is the one you want. Wow, whoa this clicker is going wild! Violet: Can you take a click of the a leaf? I’m just looking. George: This petal looks like pinkish blueish. Jack: Are you ready for the picture? CC: Yeah that looks rainbowish. Maybe that’s the inside of it? This one has sparkles! George: Whoa, look at that! Violet: This is my favorite George: Hahaha it’s Violet’s finger! Violet: He took a picture of my finger Goerge: Do you want to take a picture of that? Violet: Let’s do the rubber band again. That silly rubber band. When children weren’t at the digital microscope they explored flower pressing techniques with Brigitte. Today we tried pressing them using a hammering method. This is something we will explore in further depth tomorrow! Enjoy some images captured by the digital microscope today!
