What a busy day! We continued with our digital microscope and flower pressing explorations. 

​Lochie: Hey! I almost see eyes!
Jack: Oooh, look at the green light. I almost see a real eye!

CC: Elena, the flower was yellow and when I smashed it with a hammer it turned orange. It looks like a smooshy flower because I am doing a flower print.

L: The more flowers you add, the more beautiful it’s going to be, look it’s amazing. Wow it is so amazing.

We also shared ideas for the future of our ocean mural and enjoyed a delicious meal at our pretend restaurant! 

Marley: we are making drinks with flowers.
Elle: we have to cook the drinks on top of the stove.
Marley: We have to put in the oven.
Elle: You mean on top of the oven.
Marley: No look, the oven is in here. 
CC: Did you use all the flowers?  I am making a drink with the flowers.

What Should we Add to our Ocean?
J: We should do some research about beak whales, because I don’t know about beak whales.
Jack- Sting Rays!
Lochie: Some oceans have a kind of  animal that lives in the seaweed.
CC: Put a vampire squid in the ocean 
George: Yeah and seashells!
Elle: What about seahorses and stingrays. When I was at Nona’s house I touched a stingray!
Lochie: There really is seaweed up to the sky. 
Marley: Yeah, I don’t like it
Lochie: Yeah, let’s erase it.
