All of Rainey Room is a stage

With our backdrop and most of our characters finally complete, today was the day to begin putting them both to the test! We unveiled our theater and Marley and CC got right to work with telling some stories!

Characters: Marley’s starfish, CC’s Vampire Squid and Rainbowfish, George's Sea Turtle. 


Starfish: Hello, hello
Rainbowfish: Hey, I wanted you to meet my friend vampire squid. 
Vampire Squid: I’m vampire squid, look at me eating the [marine] snow. Please don’t come near me!
Starfish: Ahhhhh. Hey, I live here too. 
Vampire Squid: Swimmmmminnnggg
Rainbowfish: I’m going to put some fish poop, for the squid to eat!
Starfish: Nom, nom nom, I’m going to eat it all first!
[Vampire Squid swims over to Marley’s side] 
Starfish: Ahhhhh, ahhh. [Hides behind the backdrop].
Vampire Squid: I’m not going to eat you! 
Starfish: Then what are you going to eat?
Vampire squid: You’re a seastar right?
Starfish: Yup
Vampire squid: I don’t eat seastars, I only suck up fish poop and plants. 
[George’s seaturtle enters]
George: Hi! I’m just a turtle, a baby sea turtle
Vampire Squid: Do you wanna touch my spikes? It’s squishy. 
Starfish: Oh, yeah it is squishy!
Sea Turtle: Can I try? Oh yeah it is!

[The End] 

Lochie also treated us to a story about a baby sea turtle on the beach. 

Seaturtle: I’m just a baby sea turtle, swimming along. Swimming, swimming. Ah oh no I’m stuck in the sand! I’m pulling and pulling, but it’s not working! Ahhhh [ sea turtle falls off screen much to everyone's amusement]
