What a treat to have a snow day on Monday! We spent time catching up today about all the snowmen we made and movies we watched while away from each other! With snow on the brain, we decided to continue our snowflake silhouettes from yesterday’s Zoom. We noticed on the call yesterday that everyone brought different paper to the camera to use so today, we took the chance to explore papers of different color, width and texture as a class. We also took the time to acknowledge and comment on the shapes we cut out. Speaking of paper, our paper moons and suns came back into the conversation this morning as several friends noticed the way they were moving during our morning meeting. Later Lochie insisted that we "turn off all the lights, even the sunlight to make it dark" to ascertain whether or not our paper suns actually glowed. The verdict was mixed so we will see if we can brainstorm new ways to help our suns shine!
