WORKING WITH PAPER

We took a quick and unexpected pivot out of the classroom and into the comfort of our own homes. The level of enthusiasm and engagement was still high and we thoroughly enjoyed our exploration of paper folding and wire bending to create more dimensional structures or sculpture.

WORKING with WIRE

On Monday before pivoting to a virtual classroom we re-introduced wire. We explored the malleability of wire by bending and sculpting it. We also explored threading it through paper, by first using a hole punch to create an easy insert  for the wire. An additional element was a flashlight so that we could highlight the shape and form of some of our wire formations. We had intention to continue this work through the week in the classroom. So it was an obvious choice to continue with wire and paper at home!

SEWING PROJECT IN PROCESS

As mentioned via email, the sewing materials are intended for a Thanksgiving feast decoration. Hand sew to your heart's content at home or send this bag back in with your child, along with the wire and paper work from this week so that we can display the wire and paper creations in the classroom.  Have a wonderful weekend!
