Today with the rain gone our nature prints were underway! We found a sunny spot outside and got to work adding shells, beads, buttons and keys to our sun print paper!
CC: oooh I’m going to do this little screw. Look at this teeny, tiny screw!
Elle: What about this? (Holds up lugnut)
CC: oooh that looks like we’re building!
Marley: I want a starfish
George: Here’s another star!
Marley: Ok, what about a seashell?
Jack and Lochie enjoyed working continuing their watercolor studies. Both worked more to create oceans with Lochie’s focus turning towards boats and Jack’s turning towards painting stormy seas!
Jack: The boat I’m making is a rowboat.
Lochie: (Singing) I’m sailing, I’m sailing. Yeah that’s below deck. I’m putting in windows now.
Jack: I don’t know what I’m making, but this (purple paint) looks like clouds, like clouds when it's raining.
Lochie: We needed to make the sky first. The ocean is green because of all the salt in it.
Elle took inspiration and created her own “Stormy ocean” using markers and animal cut outs. We can’t wait to share this and all of our ocean work with you tonight during classroom stories!
