Rainey Room B Friday Funday

Friday festivities are in full effect today! We introduced cardboard boxes as a new building and dramatic play material. There are so many options. Everyone had their own ideas about how to use the boxes:

"Make an enormous house" - Cedar and Sylvie
"Moo moo" - Audrey
"A castle" - Maxon
"A boat" - Giacomo
"We can build it together" - Janie

We enjoyed letting out imagination run wild so much we almost missed snack. Almost. But before we ate, we stretched our social/emotional muscles and brainstormed how to make playing with the boxes safe and fun. It was important for us to think as a group about how we could have fun and be respectful of each other in our space.

Our New Rainey Room Tradition!!

Rainey Rooms A and B have decided that every Friday we will spend socially distant time together to reconnect and have fun! Today we had classroom relay races. We ran, hopped and bear crawled! Oh my!

We finished our day with a name association game. The classes sat on either side of a divider. Each class chose one person to come to the front. When the curtain dropped, the student from each side had to say the others name as quickly as possible.
