Rainey A: Cakes and Community 

Not a week goes by where we don’t try our hand at baking, and this week was no different. At George’s request today we attempted a lemon cake. In went the yogurt, zest, flour and sugar and after 30 minutes in the oven, a delicious lemon cake was born! ​


George: mmmmm
 Marley: It’s so lemony
 George: Actually the pumpkin was my favorite
 CC: yeah, I like the pumpkin too 
 Jack: Remember how we added… chocolate chips?!
    

Lochie: When we are finished with our pieces of cake, we can give Rainey Room B our cake!
Jack: Jordan loves cake, we have to give him a little piece because if we give him a big piece he will eat too much!

We took Lochie’s advice and delivered half of our freshly baked lemon cake to Rainey Room B. We even had a chance to visit with them in their room for a little bit! Speaking of Rainey Room B, when we were out on the playground CC decided we should “make the house from Melanie again!”. Referring, of course, to the surprise that RRB left us in the middle of the obstacle course yesterday.

CC: Go get the top for the roof
Jack: Me wants to make this house bigger so me friends can come in. It’s going to be this way between this thing. 
CC: How did they make the floor?
Elle: I’ve got one (block)!

As for the rest of the day we enjoyed a wonderful singalong hosted by the Tucker Room and spent much time playing with the newly gifted doll house. Thanks Bailey family!
